   Etched raises $700M at $21B

   The transformer-only inference-ASIC startup roughly doubled its valuation from $10.3B in 26 days, in a round led by Jane Street, which also became its first customer after testing a shipped rack.

   The two-year-old maker of Sohu, a transformer-specific inference ASIC on TSMC's 4nm process, raised a Sequoia-led Series C with SK Hynix participating, on roughly $1B of signed customer orders.
